Active parenting posterThe Finglas Centre’s Parenting Programmes are broken into three groups:

  1. Parents of toddlers
  2. Parents of young children (6 – 12 years)
  3. Parents of teenagers

All courses are participant-led and tailored to meet the needs of those taking part.

Our next parenting course will be for parents of children aged 6 to 12 years. Information on dates, times and location will be posted here as soon as they are available.

Parents of toddlers

This is an eight-week, participant-led course which takes place one morning a week. Topics the course covers include communication skills, parenting styles, the importance of play, stress management, understanding difficult behaviour and health and nutrition.

Parents of young children (6 – 12 years)

This course runs for eight weeks, one morning a week. A participant-led programme, topics covered range from communication skills and parenting skills to stress management and understanding difficult behaviour.

Parents of teenagers

The Parenting Teenagers programme is a five week course which aims to assist the parents of teenagers. Topics the course covers include stress management, parenting skills, understanding and managing difficult behaviour and minding yourself as a parent.
